Energy Management Systems Auditor

Our company has an immediate opening for an Energy Management Systems Auditor. Position is home-based so any US location near a major airport is desired. Contract auditor opportunities are also available across the US and Canada. Working closely with a scheduler you will visit client locations and perform ISO 50001 or ISO 14001 audits weekly.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will have a successful work history, strong interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent written and oral communication capabilities.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for management systems audits.
  • Environmental and Energy management systems auditing experience desired.
  • Ability to self-manage and set priorities with demonstrated follow-through skills.
  • Ability to present the audit findings to the customer and review customer.
  • Must be able to meet UL DQS customer satisfaction standards.
  • Work independently and project a professional image appropriate to the work environment.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including MS Office applications.
  • Extensive travel and ability to work in a home based environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Four year degree and minimum of three years of experience in an energy management related role
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing an energy management system
  • Passed an accredited 40-hour ISO 14001 lead auditor course preferred
  • Passed the RABQSA accredited ISO 50001 lead auditor exam preferred.
  • Certification as an Certified Energy Auditor or Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers preferred.
